D. G. ENVIRONMENTAL, CHINA
INTRODUCTION
DGE was established in the city of Newcastle, England in 1985. DGE
is a professional engineering company focusing on dust extraction,
fume and air pollution control systems. The main engineering focus
of DGE is on fabric filters, electrostatic precipitators, wet
scrubbers and mechanical collectors. By the late 80’s, DGE had
achieved a substantial reputation in the environmental control
market in UK with superior engineering services and competitive
prices. Because of the sluggish development of the UK and European
industries in the early 90’s, DGE started to seek out work in the
international market, particularly in South Africa. DGE’s continuous
efforts generated rewarding results in cement, aluminum, power,
incineration and other industries. In 1991,
a strategic decision was made to transfer the company to
Johannesburg, South Africa in order to facilitate the high levels of
service and keep the competitive prices in what had become our
primary market.
Since 1996, DGE had set up several independent engineering companies
and acquired shareholdings in other engineering companies in
associated industries. DGE has since signed technology-sharing
agreement with leading environmental engineering companies.
Cooperation with these companies has
substantially strengthened DGE’s engineering capability. Through its
associated companies and subsidiaries, DGE has a presence in UK,
Australia, SA, China & now also in India.
DGE CHINA INTRODUCTION
With China’s entry to WTO in 2002, DGE made a strategic decision to
set up DGE China. At present, DGE has a subsidiary company in
Shanghai and a joint venture in Chengdu with the AOSTAR group. In
the first year of operations, DGE China acquired contracts valued
over USD 5 million in various industries, such as cement,
incineration, aluminum, chemical and power generation. This amount
exceeded USD 25 million in 2004 and has increased substantially
again in 2005. The cement industry is DGE China’s main field of
operation, accounting for approximately 65% of total turnover, with
a focus on kiln/raw mill, clinker cooler, cement and coal mill
filters. DGE has built up strategic cooperation relationships with
important Chinese companies who are key players in their own fields.
These exciting achievements allow the dedication of
more effort, attention and resources to this promising new market.
We expect this rapidly expanding market to be our key growth area
over the foreseeable future & now we have a presence in the Indian
market also.
